Yesterday morning after seeing my man and brother off to work at four in the morning I stayed awake and felt lonely. I have been terribly lonesome lately because I am a vampire and there are few of my kind. Ok, ok, I'm not really a vampire but I might as well be. I work full time nights and it has really been getting to me lately. Steve works like a dog from 3:30 to whenever its quiting time which is usually later (7 or 8) rather than earlier. That leaves me to my own devices a lot especially on my weekends which are wednesdays and thursdays. I spend the whole night up all alone watching infomercials, looking up pictures of LOL cats, learning the coreography to Thriller, and any other useless activity I can think of. I really should get a productive hobby. Anyways, this particular morning after bidding my love goodbye I found myself needing a serious love from my favorite hound.
I found the queen snoozing like this in the library.
She was so docile and sleepy, the exact opposite of her normal demeanor (her name is "Zoomie" for goodness sakes) It would be a crime to let this oppertunity pass, I needed to take advantage and break out the camera.
Look at those feet. Only I could love that weird corn chip smell.
Of course I have to document that I was feeling much better after a sleepy Zoomie cuddle.
After being pet and prodded for too long by my camera and me, the zombie Zoom decided it was time to start her shift at her usual post and make sure nothing suspicious was going down in our culdesac. She is like a sentinal. She warns me of any passerby whether it be the trash truck, bird, shadow, or even the wind. What a hero.
Sadly nothing to report at five in the morning.
Have you ever seen anything so pitifully adorable?
You know you totally want to smell those corn chip feet right now.
I love my early puppy mornings
Luckily I will be switching back to a diurnal scheduel soon becuase I just got a day shift position that starts in July! Ah, I will no longer be deprived of that glorious vitamin D. But for now its time for me to crawl back into my coffin...I mean bed :) and sleep the sunshine away. Even though Zoom has just woken up I'm sure she will join me. That crazy lazy lab.
uh-huh. vampire. i know the feeling well. but *this* vampire will definitely miss you! indeed!!
