We be bloggin' fools!

Hello to all of the blogging community!

Since many of our friends and family (Jessica) have started adorable blogs to share the awesomeness of their lives with us we have decided we want to join the bandwagon too. And when I say 'we' that actually means me, Jaclyn. But its all good, I'm sure Steve cares too :)

So let's give this a shot.

As of right now we are still engaged, but in less than seven days that will change and we will be Mr. and Mrs. Huston. Which provides a great segway to brag about our blog name! "Huston, we have a problem." Cute, no? I made it up and I am quite proud. It is supposed to symbolize all of the adventures we will face together good and bad. Because that is what I want to write about. Input on a better one would be appreciated.

Our engagement photo from our announcement.
Being engaged is fun and we do love calling each other fiancĂ© and all that lovey-dovey stuff but I am not going to lie I am sick of it. It feels like every morning for the past week I wake up to a text from Steve telling me where we are on the count down of eternal bliss. Adorable yes, but unnerving! So close but so far away! Wedding planning has been about as stressful as a pack of wild hyenas gnawing my arm to bits. I never knew I was so passive about decision making until everyone was constantly asking me "Which venue?" , "What dress?" , and "What color for you nails?" Top that off with the 17 credits I unwittingly took on this semester and working as an on-call CNA at the Pioneer Home and I am ready to sprint down to city hall and elope. I shouldn't be complaining too much though, Steve seems to have it way worse than me and never complains. This is his first semester at college and he is doing awesome. I am really proud of him. He also works full time at Allen and Petersen bringing home the bacon. On top of all that he has to deal with the "whiny princess baby girl" as my mom likes to refer to me. He really is too good to me. Long story short, I am the most stubborn worry wart in the history of all worry warts and Steve is the ultimate fix-it man. He tries and almost always calms all my worries. I am a lucky girl.

So that I hope this was an adequate description of life now and what is to come. I hope I can keep up with this and I will fill you in on other amazing adventures soon.
